Welcome to Migenic, presented by Vaktrommet AS, your professional partner for medical equipment. The online store was founded in 2008 by intensive care nurse Cecilie Frostad. Our commitment to hygienic medical equipment is deeply personal; after an experience where Cecilie's daughter was burned abroad.

Cecilie noticed that items like pens, scissors, and other essential tools often fell on the hospital floor. These were then picked up again, sometimes by unsuspecting relatives, without the medical staff necessarily being aware of it. This led to a desire to develop solutions that allow healthcare workers to have full control over the cleaning of their daily equipment, while being stored safely and cleanly when not in use.

Not all healthcare workers had clearly visible name tags either.

Bearing this in mind, Penhygienic, the precursor to today's Migenic (read: Mygenic), was developed. This product, designed in Norway with help from Eggs design agency and manufactured in Italy, is made of 100% silicone that withstands over 100 degrees. The equipment holder has special slots to ensure that the equipment remains in place, even during movement, while being easily accessible for use.

Vaktrommet became a Norwegian “AS”-company in 2010 where the plan was to continue to sell the recently improved Migenic item-dock, which is produced in China. Our team now consists of Cecilie Frostad, Olav Eggesbø, and David Bakke, who came in early and has been a driving force behind the design and development of our online store. Our logo symbolizes our deep connection to the patients' well-being, and we often use pictures of Cecilie's daughter, who has now fully recovered. The Wardroom AS is a proud Norwegian company with headquarters in Oslo.
